Replacement gym cable FAQ
How do I measure the cable correctly?
Measure the finished length from the reference point on one fitting to the reference point on the other. Also record the steel-core diameter, coated outside diameter, thread size and fitting dimensions. Send photos showing the tape measure and both cable ends.
Can you make one cable from a sample?
We can assess single replacement requirements, but production quantity and cost depend on the fittings and whether custom tooling is required. For distributors and OEM service parts, repeat orders offer the best value.
Which construction should I choose, 7x7 or 7x19?
7x19 is generally preferred where the cable repeatedly bends around pulleys because it is more flexible. The correct choice also depends on pulley diameter, load, cable route and the original equipment design.
Do I need to send the original cable?
No. For standard colors, clear photos, accurate measurements or a technical drawing are normally sufficient. A physical color sample is only needed when an exact custom coating color must be matched.
